In July 1960, BRIAN HYLAND soared to #1 with a catchy song, and more interesting, it’s lengthy title –  “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini” (written by Paul Vance & Lee Pockriss). After this big hit , Brian moved on to ABC Records in 1962, garnering another smash in “Sealed With A Kiss,” and a few more. In 1965, he signed on with the Phillips label, enjoying success with “Hung Up In Your Eyes,” and “The Joker Went Wild”. In 1968, Brian recorded a few singles for Dot Records, then the next year came his million seller in 1969, “Gypsy Woman,” on the Uni label, produced by Del Shannon, a stellar remake of The Impressions classic.

In October 1989, I was honored to host a show in Danville PA., starring Brian Hyland, Lou Christie, and Shirley Alston Reeves (of The Shirelles). Brian was in super form on stage, as I have fond memories hanging out with him and son Bodi, as Brian personally gave me a copy of his greatest hits album issued on Rhino Records. Today, Brian Hyland still performs and delights his fans, follow him via his  facebook page -‘Brian Hyland Fan Club ‘   https://www.facebook.com/groups/172243609496649
